Can,how, minimize thunderbird to notification tray instead of task bar?

godskiddave

I would like to know how to set up the program so I can minimize it to the notification area so it does not take up space on my task bar

Thank You Matt! I thought I Browsed through all the add-ons (I did searches for several other items) but I either went past it or should should of searched specifically for that add-on. As you are probably aware, many programs already have this function written into them. Again, THANK YOU!

Hi,

all the addons for minimiz in the tray are down with tb 38... (exept firetray for *buntu...)

Perhaps he should think of an integration for useful extensions with so many users ...

The intention is to have "official" add-ons. not incorporate features. But with less than 10% of Thunderbird users using minimize to tray. I do wonder why it would be useful as all except to copy Microsoft Outlook.

I thave Thunderbird icon on my task bar. When Thunderbird is opened it has a border around it. That is more than enough minimize to tray for me and apparently most others.
