This add-on could not be downloaded because of connection failure
I have scoured support forums, but still no solution for this. Can anyone post what they have done besides the new>string xpinstall enabled set value true, that was previously posted, it didn't work. I am looking for a way to install my persona's themes. I have tried many different things, but so far nothing is working, this also happens on other websites, but my focus is just fixing for personas. I am not going to use 36 ff because it is highly problematic, for now staying with 35, have windows 7 computer. Any ideas? Going through safe mode is NOT a solution. Any other idea's? Persona's is part of the Mozilla schematic so it has worked and just recently noticed its not working. I did try turning off adblock and it makes no difference. I have cleared cookies/history, still NADA.

hi dobydoby, this is likely an issue that's caused by the "Open Link in New Tab" addon that you have installed. try again after disabling it... reference: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1048421#answer-694645

Wow, thank you very much. You were right, it solved it. Of course, I love having that open link in new tab, and use it daily, but whenever I want to do my personas' I will just turn it off. This is great to finally have a solution. I guess I just wish that New Tab Link would provide a fix within that so we don't have to turn off. But at any rate; this fixes me getting that error message when using my persona's. :)
Try this out;
MClickFocusTab {web link} While using mouse middle-click to open new tabs, with a short- time clicking to open new tabs in background, with a long-time clicking to open new tabs in foreground.
