Tabs won't show what the tab is about unless clicked on

I just downloaded the newest version of Firefox (36.0.1) and I have multiple tabs open. I can only see the little logo of the pages that the tabs are, but I can't see anything else unless I click on that specific tab. Although, when I open the Options Menu, all of the tab information shows. And when I'm not doing anything on the actual Firefox browser (like if I click on the taskbar or something), the tab information shows?

I have re-installed Firefox several times. I have no idea what else to do, but it's quite annoying.

hello, maybe that's an issue with hardware acceleration - please try updating your graphics driver - this should be the right link for your configuration: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%208%20-%2064 in case this doesn't you could also try to disable hardware acceleration in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general (that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect).

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
