How to remove AOL Toolbar?
How to i remove this from my Mac OSX 10.9.5 it is a real pain in the rear and i have deleted Firefox three times to try to get rid of the accompanying AOL Toolbar. I am trying this and if i can not resolve the problem i will be seeking another Browser to use after 15 years with Firefox.

Try removing it from the Add-ons page. Either:
- Command+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
- type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Return
In the left column, click Extensions. Then look for AOL on the right side. There should always be a Disable button, but there might not be a Remove button depending on how it was installed.
Can you find and disable or remove it?

That was so smooth. Thanks loads. just goes to show you that you always need to study a bit more everyday to keep up.
Just a note that Firefox from mozilla.org does not come with any Toolbar extensions.
Also the browser we currently know as Firefox started back in Sept 2002 (not Nov 2004 as some incorrectly think) as Phoenix 0.1 so you were likely using the Mozilla suite before.
