Can't log on to aim.com email through Thunderbird, PW is OK

As of this morning (2015-02-19), I can't log on to my AIM.COM email account through ThunderBird. It's been working for a decade now and never had a problem. I am able to log on via the AIM.COM website, thus my password is ok. I have made no changes to anything since last night when I logged on to aim.com through TB the last time. Don't know what could be wrong? Tried many times, restarted computer, cleaned out inbox (through AIM.COM), but no success. Get message saying AOL IMAP server (that's the one for AIM.COM) has closed. Has anyone experienced this? Please help. Thanks, Derek

5 minutes ago, I was able to log on to the AIM.COM IMAP server. So everything seems ok again. What a relief! At first I thought someone had hijacked my AIM email account. Anyway thanks for the comforting reply. Derek

I have the same problem with cox.net. All happened after I installed the recent upgrade last night. Now I can't connect with email. Other internet is fine.

kunkel it would be better if you started your own thread with the details of your issue. This thread has been resolved.
