In older versions of Thunderbird I was able to select a word and with Insert link I could add a hyperlink to that word. When done, the word would turn blue and could be clicked on after which I would be brought to a website. Now this doesn't work anymore.

I use TB 31.4.0

I forgot to mention something important. It does work, but only when I type in the hyperlink in the field (at smaller screen in the screenshot). That's rather complicated when the hyperlink is long, so I want to copy and paste the link into the field.
