hello greg123, you have the "New Tab Tools" extension installed which changes the behaviour of the new tab page. you can go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions & disable the display of the toolbar within the settings of the "New Tab Tools" extension...

Phillip, Thanks for responding so soon. I followed your directions,however, there isn't a toolbar setting in the options menu. There is a button to import/export settings. Can I go to the website listed to import a setting for the toolbar? It also said there are dragons. What is a dragon? Thanks.I'll wait for a reply.
