Repeated, fairly regular crashes occuring. Using latest Firefox 34.0.5, have *all* plugins disabled, except the most recent Shockwave Flash, using version 16.0.0.235. These versions seem to work fine on my WinXP Dell laptop. And mostly ok on the desktop box, which is Intel 4, HP with 2 gb virtual memory, (512 mb) physical mem. Note: When crashes occur, the crash reporter *always* fails to send anything, despite all flags and options being set to allow it to do so...

The Crash report id, as per the Mozilla Support page instructions is: bp-a06c8dfe-a90d-48a3-bc3f-72e812150123

(This URL comes up when I click on most recent crash after selecting "about:crashes"....) Crash Stats URL: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/a06c8dfe-a90d-48a3-bc3f-72e812150123

The error message always reported is a crash in the "plugin-container.exe", or something like that. I have about 7 or 8 other plugins, but *all* are disabled execpt for the most recent Shockwave Flash. Note, that the crash does *not* occur when running Flash (it seems to run ok... just watched some Yahoo Finance videos of Peter Schriff explaining why QE will not work for ECB and Europe. Videos render and play fine.)

Crash occurs when simply navigating between webpages. The Support page that displays when I click on the Crash Report ID above is:

  ID: a06c8dfe-a90d-48a3-bc3f-72e812150123
  Signature: F_855855466_____________________

This page indicates that failure occurs when running Shockwave Flash, but I was not attempting to view video. Perhaps the Yahoo page has a video advert?

Crash reason is documented as: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION_READ

Section label "Processor notes" is: sp-processor01_phx1_mozilla_com.16334:2012; MozillaProcessorAlgorithm2015; non-integer value of "SecondsSinceLastCrash"; skunk_classifier: reject - not a plugin hang

      • Note: These random crashes are become a serious problem. The machine memory is only 512mb, maybe this is too small for "modern" code? Except that Firefox runs for a few days between crashes. Machine is run 24/7, and historically is *very* stable platform.

Any suggestions on what I can do to limit crashes, most appreciated; Also, key question:

      • Is there any way to *REMOVE* plugins??? I cannot find a method to simply remove and discard plugins which

I have flagged as disabled. Do existing plugins consume memory or processor resources?? Again, any info helpful.

Please update to Firefox 35.0.1 (comes out today) and update your flash as well. Please let us know if you still see crashes.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
