Cannot open PDF in Firefox on MAC

I have looked at and tried almost every single solution provided in the community support but for some reason none of them seem to work! I cannot open a PDF in Firefox no matter what! I tried going to preferences and then application and then in action having it "preview in Firefox" - that did not work. I tried installing a plugin that was recommended - that didn't work. I tried everything and nothing is working!

Hello mta5747, in your system details we can see that you have an extension to download pdf, the PDF Download 3.0.0.2, probably the problem is there, try to delete the extension and check it again.

see : Disable or remove Add-ons

also : Cannot remove an add-on (extension or theme)

Try to disable the Adobe® Acrobat® Plug-in for Web Browsers, Version 10.1.13 plugin ("Adobe Acrobat NPAPI") and check it again.
