I am unable to find an old firefox extension for website login, which will fill the password/login information. UPEK support is now closed, where normally we used to find firefox extension for forms/webpages etc. Appreciate if you can retune the old firefox extension to make it compatible with the latest firefox 35 version. Attached is the old firefox extension which used to work. Any advice to make this extension usable on firefox 35 latest is appreciated. Its called pbff3.6 xpi.

Thank You.

Hi manu_555 , In order to betters support this question, I suggest that you contact the developer of the extension. Unfortunately if it is not compatible with Firefox and it needs developer TCL this might not be the best place for support. There is also stackoverflow.com and the addons forums for more help.

Hi bro,

I have already tried that. Authentec by UPEK is taken over by Apple and they are no more supporting their old customers. Apple has acquired them. I am a premium member of UPEK and there is no one to respond from UPEK....even thier site is closed now. Now what do you advice. I request some senior technical person from the development team, can fine tune this existing extension to make it compatible with the latest firefox 35. I don't think its a very big task, just we need to change version or change the file parameters or something so that I will not check the version of the firefox during installation. Is it not feasible ? Please assign this ticket to someone who can do a high level review and provide a solution, like use some other extension in firefox so that it will be able to install the old extension or some other fix. Please help. Appreciate it. thank you.

hi cor-el ,

thanks a lot for the links. I have installed the given firefox extension and unfortunately it dint work. I guess that is for the firefox 13 version and now we are in 35 version. Hope this need to be fine tuned or modified to incorporate your latest firefox changes. Please find the attached screenshot's for reference. As that we have a little more better extension than the earlier, will it be not easy to identify or modify the changes between the old and the found one ( in your link) and then make changes for the ff35. Please advice. thanks again.

I think that the extension installs a plugin (nppbff.dll), so make sure that this plugin gets installed in a location where Firefox finds it

  • pbff7134u.xpi/plugins/5.9.6.0000/nppbff.dll

Hi cor-el,

I have reinstalled UPEK and installed the extension to see if it might fix the issue, but invain. Yes I could see the nppbff.dll file in the extension/plugins folder. Please find the screenshot attached. But still its not recognizing.

Any other solution.

Thank You

In the article that corel mentioned, there is an about:config entry that might need to be changed:"plugins.load_appdir_plugins" to true.
