For the last week or so, I am seeing strange symbols at the top of my page where the tabs are. Sometimes they go completely across the tabs so I can't see the tab name and sometimes they are on either side of the tab as shown in my screen shot. How do I get rid of these?

Try the next : disabled the add-on then close firefox and restart Firefox again. Then enable the add-on again, close firefox one more time and restart Firefox again. Any luck ?

thanks again

Hello gaylet8, the problem is mcafee site advisor extension, please try to disable or remove that extension and you are OK.

thank you

I really don't want to uninstall Site Advisor. Is there any fix I can use instead?
