Clicking on rreply and forward: link uses wrong account to send mail.
I read the answer of the expert about similar questions, but I believe there is a bug in TB. I follow instructions but it isn't possible to change the default email address: I uncheck the checkmark on the accounts that I don't want as default, but when I restart TB, they are newly checked (I find more than one account checked, so that I can't check just one...). Furthermore, nevertheless the desired account is on the top of the list, it isn't anyway the default "reply" or "forward" account

Thank you. I don't have the checkbox here. I'm guessing that's due to a setting in Windows Explorer to offer a select checkbox against every item. I don't think it's especially useful or relevant to this particular drop-down menu. In my case, the "Default account" option on the menu is greyed out on the account that is already designated as the default, and active on all the others. There's no distracting checkbox to confuse matters. You might like to try the ManuallySortFolders add-on as an alternative way to set the default account. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/manually-sort-folders/
GREAT! Now it works ! I installed the add-on and, despite the desired default address was already the first, I moved down the second one that caused the problem and I restart TB. Now I finally can forward with the account that I want! Thank you Zenos !!!

There is, by definition, only one default address. Can you post a screen shot showing us the multiple selections you describe?

Hi, and thank you for your help! Clipboard2 shows the default account that doesn't work correctly, nevertheless it is on top of the list. Clipboard3 shows one of the other accounts, each one of them has checked "set as default" checkmark (all of them). I tried several times to check/uncheck them, with no results. Currently, the default account when I forward a message is the second in the list of account. Note that if I reply a message, everything work correctly: the account used is the one that received the mail.
Thank you.
