I am trying to send email signed by a Digital Signature Certificate stored on a USB token. OS - Mac OS X 10.10 USB token - Feitian ePass2003 I have selected certificate in security section in account settings and checked 'Digitally signed messages (by default)'. Every thing goes fine until I press the send button. When the send button is pressed the token's light goes off and it seems that it gets ejected automatically and then thunderbird aborts mail sending saying there is no certificate.

certificates are stored in the certificate manager. Perhaps it is the use of a USB device to hold something the software expects to find internally that is the issue.
