Firefox will not start today. I think there was an update yesterday. Click on it, get the loading symbol, but never starts up. In task manager there is a firefox.exe *32 running. I have tried uninstall, delete Mozilla Firefox folder from Program Files x86 & have also tried deleting the profile from appdata (after backing up bookmarks & passwords). I can not get firefox to even start in safe mode and can not get profile manager to start. If I start windows (7 x64) in Safe mode, I can start firefox. I am using Norton Internet Security. I checked Smart firewall settings and confirmed firefox is still set to allow. I tried starting firefox with smart firewall off and firefox still refuses to start Just about ready top give up

hello ziggy1, since this can sometimes be caused by malware active on a system, please run a scan with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes, adwcleaner & microsoft safety scanner.
