My browser didn't sync after we reinstalled the PC even though we made sure we Synced everything before we did that. What do I do now?

I had my laptop reinstalled because it was running slow, so we synced everything with Mozilla Firefox so we won't lose anything important, but right after we were done installing and wanted to Sync everything back, it didn't work, nothing was synced.

HI timici, I understand that you have synced everything before installing a new version because of slowness that on the new installation, nothing is there.

Please try the following:

  1. log out of sync and try to reattach the account, but before you do, rename the device to something else.
  2. Do you have a back up of the profile folder that contained the data that you synced? Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles Unfortunately Sync was not meant to be a back up and I would be happy to provide instructions on how to avoid this from happening again in the future.
