You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

So...I was somewhat able to recover my bookmarks, BUT...when I click on "Properties"....all the info in that section is blank.
I am still in need of help.
I'm challenged by the above links...they make no sense to me.
I added the Places Maintenance, but I have NO idea how to use it.
