Hello Elwayisgod It's up for me. Have you tried the direct link for XUL Remote Manager? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager/?src=search

The 'addons.mozilla.org' url/domain is blocked by the IT dept here is the issue. Is there a manual way to install it?

You could try installing it through a proxy? http://www.phproxy.me/index.php?q=aHR0cHM6Ly9hZGRvbnMubW96aWxsYS5vcmcvZW4tVVMvZmlyZWZveC9hZGRvbi9yZW1vdGUteHVsLW1hbmFnZXIvP3NyYz1zZWFyY2g%3D&hl=3ed

If you still have problems let me know and I'll upload the xpi to my dropbox account.

Yeah, that's blocked too. I have a personal machine that I can do this on, however not sure where the .xpi is downloaded to and how to install it manually. Is that possible? My email is elwayisgod at hotmail

1. Download the zip xpi file from Here

2. Unzip the xpi add on file.

3. In the add on page click the cog and select Install add-on from file

4. locate the xpi file that you unzipped.

5. Pat you self on the back :)

But then how do I add my URLs?

It installs OK, thank you. But now I need to add my urls. Is there a 'backdoor' way to do that by editing a file somewhere in a directory or something like that?

Sorry to say what do you mean?

Once the add-on is installed you can then add to the white list in the add-on options located on in the add-on page.

Another option would be to bring a portable version of Firefox with you to work on a USB drive. This allows you to install all of your add-on's at home where the add-on website is not blocked. You can then launch the portable version of Firefox at work with all of your add-on's.

You can download the portable version from Here

Got it. I can configure URL's in the Extensions area which I'm not blocked from. So it's good to go. Once I manually installed I went there and saw the XUL and selected 'Options' and set them up. Worked perfectly.

Thanks!!!!

Over happy to help mate :)
