I am wanting to download a site called 'television fanatic' but Firefox is saying it is preventing this........is this site okay to download?

As I state above, I am wishing to download this site which I can but Firefox is cautioning me by wanting to press the 'prevent download' option. Could someone tell me if this is okay to download. I would be very grateful for any advice regarding this.

Personally, anything involving "Ask" is suspicious IMO. I have seen too many support requests about removing "Ask" related garbage, and questions about restoring the default or user set preferences.

Check out this Google search for Mindspark, the builder of that application. Mention of PUP (Potentially Unwanted Programs) and Malware, is enough for a reasonable person to think twice before installing stuff like that.

Is that toolbar really necessary to use the site? At least one reputable malware removal site considers it a browser hijacker: http://malwaretips.com/blogs/television-fanatic-toolbar-removal/

Thanks for the advice, both of you, jscher and the-edmeister. I trust both of your advice and will not download it. The only reason I was asking was I have missed a couple of the season 4 of Person of Interest. Oh, well, I think I will just have to live with that (missing the first few episodes) and try to catch up in my mind's eye.........lol; thankyou both.......:)
