PLEASE HELP ME TO REMOVE THIS INTRUSIVE SEARCH ENGINE FROM MY FIREFOX

PLEASE HELP ME TO REMOVE THIS INTRUSIVE SEARCH ENGINE FROM MY FIREFOX

Chosen solution

Hello,

The malware may have modified your Firefox shortcuts as well - right click on your Firefox shortcut and select Properties. In the target line under the Shortcut tab, make sure that there are no links after the "firefox.exe".

If that doesn't work, are there any other suspicious extensions that might have snuck back in? Enter about:addons in your address bar or go to:

  • Tools (or New Fx Menu) > Add-ons > Extensions

Hello... & bonjour (Plus bas)

How to remove MyStartSearch from mystartsearch.com which is not MyStart-by-incredibar ! This one infects Firefox but also IE & Chrome. Running a scan with Avast the process was found but Avast was not able to fire it. You can try a start scan after reboot, I didn’t. What I’ve done: Runned a scan with Avast. After clicking several times on «clean my browser» I must say that the problem wasn’t resolved despite it can restore its config. Don’t close Avast. Open the task manager, -> process tab: kill down «loader32.exe» (Or loader64.exe) -> Services tab: Stop «IePluginServices» In Program files delete the directory \suptab\ and in ProgramData delete \IePluginServices\ Check also in Firefox (About:config) to remove MyStart in newtabURL If you did not close Avast go on running a start scan and you will see Avast finding your infected files in the dustbin... What I would have done: On a fresh install first install an antivirus before installing other stuff. It happened after installing Tiny Firewall which I mixed up with Tinywall which I knew. (I wanted to find out despite I had a virus free disk image made with Macrium Refect free) For English don’t read further...
