Sync doesn't work, nothing happens after logging in to SYNC

I just recently bought new HDD. last one just crashed and I had no chance to back up my bookmarks (the most important thing for me now) but before it happened I have set up my account with SYNC and it actually work once before, when I changed HDDs, but now I want to get all my information, bookmarks, profiles etc back, I log in to my SYNC, it says that Firefox will start synchronization soon but nothing happens. I searched through your tips in trouble shooting but I'm afraid that I might lose my data and everything you stored so before I do anything I seek your help first. My Firefox is up to date in updated automatically when I downloaded it. I know I should've backed up my bookmarks in different way but because SYNC worked one I thought of it as the easiest and quickest way, available anywhere and anytime. Thank you very much for your help

HI Justyna1982, To pull the bandaid off, so to speak, there is also an option in the menu Tools > Sync Now that will speed it up.

It is expected for sync to schedule a sync 36000 seconds, however the "Sync Now" will pull down the data from the last sync.
