On left hand screen I now get "popstate-1.dat"up to sofar 10.dat. What is it?

help menu (alt+H) > troubleshooting information click on the show folder button Close Thunderbird. Delete the files foldertree.json and panacea.dat (or rename them for added backout security) Restart Thunderbird.
