I thought that once upon a time, if I right clicked on a link in an email, it displayed the link itself (useful for checking for spoofing). Can this be done?

Chosen solution

Just mouse over the link, no click. The URL is shown in the status bar.

I don't recall a right-click ever doing this in Thunderbird.

If you hover your mouse cursor over the link, its true destination should be shown in the status bar, usually at the bottom.

No status bar?

alt+v, then toolbars, then status bar.

I thought it should be there - and wondered if I was going mad. And I have Status Bar on. On checking, the add in 'Extra Folder Columns' destroys the mouseover effect.

Thanks for your help...
