In the event that the passwords information is lost, you should record all information in a separate text file somewhere else on your hard drive, and on paper. You can easily copy and paste if you need to do so. If you are concerned about someone else looking at that file, you can compress it using a password.

Your PC Password is not stored in Firefox, if you can't remember the password (maybe you wrote it down?) there are utilities that allow you to remove your password. If you aren't able to run them, call a reputable local computer shop.

Usually you log on to Windows 8 using your Microsoft Hotmail/Live/Outlook account user name and password. Please see this article for more information on how to reset your password if you have forgotten it:
