If you want to clear history go to Settings-->Tools-->Privacy-->Clear Data and now choose what you would like to remove. And if you want to set firefox as your default browser try this article Make Firefox the default browser on Android

Note in most modern Android phones the default browser is Chrome, not Browser, Web or Internet as shown in the screen shots.
