Firefox will no longer save a Bitmap. When I click "SAVE AS" , nothing happens.

When I right-click on an Internet image, and on the drop-down box, select SAVE AS. No box appears to show the current name of the image, or to allow me to enter a name of my choice. ... and image is not save anywhere. Up to now it has always worked perfectly.

You can try to clear the cache.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

You can also check for issues with the mimeTypes.rdf file.
