when I sent a letter to someone, I prefer my address to come up like it used to by the first letter of their name and all the addresses with that letter comes

I would prefer that when I type in the first letter of someone's address that all the ones that start with the that letter come up as well. like type in a and all the address with a come up. while it always did this before, it is not doing it now. How come?

rrstart with add-ons disabled from the help menu (alt+H) and see if the problem is an add-on. There are a number that cause exactly that issue. morefunctionsfor addressbook is one.
