I've spent years tweaking the FF interface to get what I want, when will you provide an update that doesn't destroy all my work or do I stay on 28.0?
I found out about this disaster in forcing a chrome interface on me in a linux distro and have disabled updates in my win7 system. I have neither desire nor time to spend hours installing addons and rebuilding the interface to get back to what I had before. If I liked Chrome I would use Chrome. Treating longtime users like *^&*$#@#%$%^&&*(^%$@# will cost. THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO LEAVE THE *$&#@* UI ALONE WHEN UPGRADING!!! Of course that would mean Firefox is still about choice which it isn't. Will an update fix forcing this chrome clone UI on me be forthcoming or do I go somewhere else for choice? I imagine there will be forks in the near future if not.

I'm sorry you're unhappy with Firefox. However, you have three options here.
- Downgrade to 28 to retain the previous UI (keep in mind that 28 will become obsolete soon so this isn't recommended)
- Use add-ons like Classic Theme Restorer, Tabs on Bottom, to customize 29 to your liking (using the links below)
- Use an alternative like Pale Moon or Waterfox
If you don't like the new 29, I recommend you at least try it out using the links I've given above for the Tabs on bottom preference before reverting to 28 or moving to an entirely different browser altogether. The Web is about choice. You choose whether to use Firefox or not. If you don't, thanks for using Firefox for this long.
You can use any of the following add-ons.

I've been using the 29FF **%$# on opensuse. I don't like it. I'm not putting it on my main win7 system. I don't want my tabs on the bottom. I don't want them over the bookmarks toolbar either. I like my addons bar the way it is with all the extra buttons. Why you would put out a product that allows/encourages tweaks, customizations and then remove everything in an update is fascism and an insult to longtime users.
Classic Theme Restorer sounds like it would work, AFTER MUCH HASSLE. Palemoon, waterfox, and cyberfox are options. It seems like it would be much easier to just install one of them and copy the firefox profile over, if needed. I use FreeFileSyc to regularly back it up anyway, so I already have multiple copies.
I may be getting old and cranky, but I like things the way they are. I made them that way FOR A REASON. It used to be that Firefox led innovation, now you're just copying chrome or whatever and changing for the sake of change. Some innovations are good, forcing whatever is popular at the moment onto users is not. BIG CHANGES TO THE UI SHOULD BE OPTIONAL.
From your reply I would assume that any future updates WILL NOT have an option to leave the UI the @#*& alone, so I will not be updating in the future. The waterfox developer has said he's not going to use the FF29 UI so I may try that first. I've got lots of work to do. Spending hours fixing a browser I've already set up is a waste of my time. I'm very unhappy that you think you know better that the users themselves what they like or should have.

Your point is a valid one and totally agreed.

So I am not allowed to have a valid point of criticism (which was put very politely, I used no strong words what so ever) towards a moderator?
Okay, good to know, point taken and moving on.
