I just upgraded to FireFox 29.0.1 and now there are times when a new tab opens and the address bar is twice as big, the URL isn't visible and random icons or characters are shown.

hello kthersh, other users have reported that this error might be caused by third-party extensions like RSS Icon 1.0.6, which apparently is no longer maintained...
