Today I upgraded Firefox from version 15.0.1 to version 16.0 and I noticed that the history in the address bar drop-down displays only icons (not the URLs and their description as it used to).

Did anyone have the same problem? Any suggestions to fix it?

Sounds similar to this user who reported that disabling a Delicious add-on resolved it. (Not sure which exact add-on, plugin, extension it was.)

In the Awesome bar I am not seeing the text when typing and its pulling in bookmarks/history items http://www.flickr.com/photos/procter/8074119454/

That was a quick reply -- thank you, jscher2000! Yes, disabling the Delicious add-on fixes the problem.

I had the latest Delicious add-on installed, so I guess I'll have to do without it till a new version that hopefully fixes the problem comes out. At least I know what was causing the problem and can look into it a bit more.

Don't give up on delicious that fast. Take a look at this article: http://bloggermind.net/social-networks/delicious_on_firefox/ It explains both how to make delicious add-on to work on any reasonable version of Firefox AND how to fix the problem you have descrived (only icons in the Firefox address history). Don't be set aback by that you have to edit Chrome skin -- it still solves the Firefox problem.

Thanks, that was EXACTLY the information I needed.
