When I key in a website name like 'yahoo' in address bar and then press 'Control + Enter' button, its supposed to replace this with 'http://www.yahoo.com' However this does not happen with 7.0.1 version

Somehow after reading the comments posted for this defect, I tend to think that this defect is not something that is taken on priority to be fixed in upcoming release.

A single word domain (without a dot) like yahoo shouldn't be a problem and should work without problems. Only multi word domains (accounts.google) have stopped working.

Start Firefox in Use Troubleshoot Mode in Firefox to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
