In the location bar the icon that you normally see next to the webadres are missing. And not from one particular site, but every website. It's strange because this problem only appears on my laptop and not on my desktop.

The one reason I can think of is that is has to do with my using Favicon Picker as an addon, I delete this addon and I think (not sure) that the problem started.

The icons are also missing in all the tabs that are open and because I usally have a lot tabs open it's a bit complicated now to see which site is what tab.

I hope I made the problem clear to you and hope you got a solution.

Firefox is a great browser! I spread the word with all my friends and relatives here in the Netherlands.

You can check these prefs on the about:config page.

browser.chrome.favicons
browser.chrome.site_icons

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

  • Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
  • Preferences that have been modified show as bold(user set).
  • Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

Great!! This was the perfect solution. I follow the steps and saw that

browser.chrome.site_icons was in bold letters and it was ''false'

I changed it into 'true' and restarted FF and the problem was fixed.

Thankx you helping!!
