I am deleting emails and they reappear

Robert Wilson

Do I need to get into Google mail and remove the emails? Do I have a virus in one of three email, that has not been caught?

you are deleting email from where? Google is an interesting case of non standard. What they do depends on the folder you are deleting mail from.

Check the Thunderbird setting <Account Settings | Server Settings | Server Settings | When I delete a message> and confirm that it's set to move it to the Trash folder.

It's very unlikely that a virus has anything to do with it.
