wrong archive folder

Hi! I am using Thunderbird 140.1 under MacOS. I manage eight accounts on it and am experiencing a problem when archiving emails. Although I have selected to save archived emails in the Archive folder, when I archive an email it is moved to the Archived folder in Local Folders. I have checked that it is properly configured and changed it so that the emails are moved to a different folder, which works fine. However, if I select to move the emails to the 'Archived' folder in the mail structure, it doesn't work.

Do you have any ideas or workarounds? Thanks in advance.

In addition, I noticed the Archives folder for this account does not exist. I tried to create it manually, but is not located on the right place and didn't work :-(

Hi!

I had the same problem two days ago with my five accounts. I created a custom folder in local folders, deleted the associated.msf file, even changed the rule in prefer.js Global_archive_folder file to fake and it doesn't work properly.

It is a version problem. I have 146 in Linux distribution, but in macOS it's the same bug. Recent versions do not respect custom file folders and rename them. Here are the threads that the developers are dealing with:

Esto también podría ser útil.

Solucionado (pacialmente).

"All the "All Mail" issues will be solved in the next release as we addressed that problem in bug 1999677. Regarding the folder names changing, that was a conscious decision and a wanted change to mitigate the problem of inconsistent naming from different servers".

thanks a lot. To be honest I found a workaround weeks ago, but now I don't remember exactly how I done.

A ver un momento... chotocabras y zopilote...
