Problem moving emails from Inbox to some folders

Wayne Mery replied

I've been using Thunderbird as my email client for a few years. I use many folders to organize my emails. Recently, when I attempted to move emails from my inbox to a folder, the emails returned to the inbox. It doesn't happen with all the folders, but it is happening more frequently.

What can I do to fix this?

Should be fixable. Let’s take a look. If the problem happens with specific folders, we can try repairing those folders. To repair the affected folder(s) follow these steps:

  • Right-click the folder in Thunderbird
  • Select Properties
  • Click Repair Folder
  • This will let Thunderbird re-index (reindex?) and re-download the messages for that folder

Hopefully that wil fix the issue.
