How to delete Thunderbird email account from only one person

bearbeetle

Me and my colleague are using the same email account on Thunderbird. How do I delete the account from only my Thunderbird app? My colleague will still need access to it.

You need to explain the details of the setup. For example, do each of you have separate icons on the desktop using the same profile, or do you each have separate profiles that include that account?

If you delete an account from TB on one computer, it doesn't affect the account on another computer or device.

Okay, that's good, thank you! How do I do this though?

In TB 128, remove the account with Account Actions in Account Settings *bottom of left pane). The Default account can't be removed, so first set another account as Default with Account Actions.

In TB 140, there is a Delete button in the right pane of Account Settings.

THANK YOU sfhowes!!! It took me about three hours to find that TB 140 is different. No account actions option!

the "delete" button in "account setting" /individual email account do not work
