What were the controls next to the home button from the old version?

I was able to locate the home button and placed in the upper right area, but I cannot remember what was there and is now gone.

Chosen solution

The download button doesn't appear until you make your first download during the current session. You can use a custom style rule to force it to appear all the time if you prefer. I don't know if you really need that just to move the button.

If you prefer it:

/* Never Hide Downloads Button */
#downloads-button[hidden="true"]{
  display: -moz-box !important;
}

You can apply custom style rules to Firefox's interface by creating a userChrome.css file. If you've never worked with one before, you can find more info on my website here: https://www.userchrome.org/

It was the bookmark star, and bookmark menu, the bookmark star is now fixed in the URL bar, and the bookmarks menu can be placed back like in the screenshot below. As for the downloads button, click on it and then uncheck Auto-hide.

Ah, the download button is what I couldn't remember. Where can I find that in the new version to un-hide it?

Hi malexander51052, I read a simpler solution in another thread.

When you are in Customize mode, if you click the download arrow icon (not right-click, a little settings balloon appear where you can uncheck "Auto-hide". The attached screenshot illustrates. I have so much to discover in this new version.

I have no clue what u are talking about. I am not some computer guru and am just learning how to use these support pages. You r getting into technical areas I don't understand. I just read another post that was complaining about how intuitive aspects of FF are just absent and they are going to use Chrome which I tried and did not like. I am a loyal user of FF but I wish the developers would understand that some of us older folks need thing simple/stupid the "kiss" method.
