The homepage refuses to stay to what I put it as (www.google.com). I have change it in the about:config files. I have followed all the support documents. I have ran virus scans and Malwarebyes. I have completely uninstalled/wiped Mozilla off of the computer and redownloaded it fresh and still the same thing happens

browser.startup.homepage http://undefined?uid=undefined&uc=undefined&ap=undefined&source=undefined&page=homepage&implementation_id=email_0.0.12

That is what it reverts to every time I close Firefox and reopen. It defaults back to the above text no matter which way I change it to be www.google.com instead.

That's a strange address. The end is implementation_id=email_0.0.12 and that makes me wonder about the extension "Email 0.0.16" which you have installed (according to the data you shared when posting your question. What is that?

You may be able to find more information on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then on the right side, look for a "More" link for that extension. If you don't recall installing it, try disabling it.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

I have no idea what that extention was or where it came from....even on a fresh brand new installed Firefox it was there immediately; just assumed it was something Firefox did.

But getting rid of it totally fixed the problem! I figured it would be something simple I wasn't seeing.... THANK YOU
