This happened after I installed Firefox on a new laptop. Yahoo is fine on other browsers, and all other websites in Firefox are displaying images with no problems. I have tried all of the fixes mentioned...starting in safe mode, deleting cookies and history, etc. I love Firefox, but I am so frustrated that I am ready to switch browsers for good.

I finally solved the problem...after days of reading and trying different things. I use Avast Anti Virus. I went into Settings-Active Protection-Webshield-Customize and unchecked the box for "Enable HTTPS scanning". Now everything seems fine.
