Firefox version 40 release breaks HP Simplepass

After upgrading to version 40 this morning, HP simple pass is broken yet again. I tried the usual, uninstall and reinstall of both applications. The add-on is marked always activate. Still works in OS and IE. It also worked again when I downgraded to v 39.
