Is this a Pop or Imap mail account?

if IMAP then you need to subscribe to see created folders.

If Pop, it should appear. If it is a sub folder of the Inbox, is the Inbox folder tree collapsed or expanded? If the Inbox has sub folders, then a small arrow appears to the left of 'Inbox'. When collapsed this arrow is just a triangular outline. When expanded to show sub folders, the arrow changes to solid black. You can expand/collapse the sub tree by clicking on the arrow.
