I had absolutely no problems with Thunderbird yesterday. I could create new folders under inbox without any problems. Today I went to work more on my email and I have tried many times to create new folders under inbox. The dialog box comes up and I can input and enter without error. The problem is that in looking under inbox the folder does not exist. I have tried multiple times with different folder names and tried to add a subfolder under another folder. The dialog box for creation works and enters without any errors, yet the folder never appears.

is this an IMAP account? does the server support sub folder of the inbox?

It is IMAP and yes server allows subfolders. The issue is that on Friday I was able to create subfolders under inbox without any problems. On Saturday I was going to complete setting up Thunderbird, I went to add new subfolders under Inbox and the dialog box completed without any errors. I went to look for the subfolder and it is not there. Tried several times without luck. I deleted a few folders ok, tried to recreate and dialog box completed but the subfolder is not there. Yes, I had the inbox highlighted to create under it, no joy, not there. I do not understand, first day it worked fine, now it doesn't.

Is there a limit on how many subfolders can be created?

Thunderbird has no limits or if it does it is in the tens of thousands.

When you right click the account and select subscribe are you seeing these folders?

No, they are not showing up. On the error log I saw a line that possibly suggested that the string for folders is set at 79. I could not find anywhere else that it was referenced or any way to change to increase the number. Yes I have a need for more than that amount. I appreciate your help and getting back with me.
