how do I find "ABOUT CONFIG" in ff28

I looked at the config page but it was of no help. I was instructed to look for these 3 specific entries, app.update.auto-false/app.update.enabled-false/ app.update.url-false . I found them as written. I was then told to RIGHT click each one in turn, select MODIFY/DELETE EXISTING/OK. Issue is there is NO "MODIFY" in the drop down menu or the other choices. This process is to make sure that AUTO UPDATE does NOT happen. It is up to the user, me, to check for updates at my option. Please give me the CORRECT steps. If the AUTO UPDATE takes place one more time I will leave FF behind.
