  3. Hello, German l10ns!

As you may know, Pocket integration will be arriving for German in 38.0.5. We have a few articles that reflect this update that you can localize:

    (taken from Bug 1163848)

There's also a question of the new feature's UI being properly localizable, the discussion of which you can follow in Bug 1161138.

More news as we get them.

    Cheers, Michał

Huge thanks, pollti! And if I catch you being sorry for being awesome one more time, I... don't know what, but you don't want that ;-) NEVER be sorry for doing something great, even if you think you're "late", please!

    Thanks again.

  8. I translated (localized ;-)) the article now.
However, I don't have a German Windows 10 yet and https://www.microsoft.com/Language/de-de/Search.aspx doesn't include the terms yet, so some of the UI terms could be wrong. Does anyone have a German Windows 10 already?

  9. I am not certain the en-US version has been tested with Windows10 yet !

If you have at least a German any' Windows 10 it is possible joni may find that useful for helping with testing.

    Some background information

    There is a related article

    • Make Firefox your default browser
      https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-your-default-browser
    • That has unapproved revisions waiting; initially, for someone to test in Windows 10
      https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-your-default-browser/history
    • There is also a known sumo issue with these articles as mentioned in the discussion of that article

      Regarding showfor and Windows 10:
The {for =fx34, =fx35, =fx36, =fx37} block needs a {for win10} section so that content can be shown for Windows 10 users who have those versions. same with the {for not fx34} section if we want those older versions to be supported.

In the last pending revision, the {for win10} {for not fx40} content is under the {for fx38} block of content so it will only show up for fx38 and fx39.

Also, any {for win} content or images will not be shown when the version selector is set to Windows 10, since this bug is still open (replace {for win} with {for winxp,win7,win8,win10} as a workaround?) :

*Bug 1186464 - Showfor doesn't consider Windows 10 to be Windows
    • There are also current kb bugs that are hidden from kb editors and kb reviewers.
That does not help with our understanding of the situation. It appears that we are running out of time and apparently have broken kb articles.
      • Firefox Beta users are likely a more technically advanced group, and probably early adopters, yet we hide an article in an Admin category, and fail to display information to them.

edit I misread the post, you do not have a German Windows 10

  10. Updates & Revisions

    Hi polti,

I see you cc yourself on the sumo bug. Current versions of the two documents involved have been crafted to take into account the sumo bug.

You are probably following this directly in the en-US KB yourself, but I will comment as not all L10N people will be doing that.

The Windows 10 behavior has now been tested, and is noted in the document discussion threads, although that was not tested with the final release of Windows 10.

Both the documents have been revised further, and probably will continue to be revised.

Hi Philip, vielen Dank!
