I've started getting Virus/Trogen warnings from McAfee popping up every few seconds on Firefox. There was a McAfee file on my Acer desktop but Not installed. Windows Defender and Malwarebytes do not detect a Virus or Trogen. Is this a SCAM by McAfee to get money from me? I cannot delete the McAfee install file as it says it is in use!

Why am I getting error messages for this? I have been on this page before. There are other places also, like Macys. Getting fed up with Firefox.

I was in contact with Bitdefender Support and they suggested the following:
If Facebook still won't open, open Bitdefender and: - Go to Protection > Online Threat Prevention > Settings. - Turn OFF "Encrypted Web Scan" temporarily. - Now reload Facebook in Firefox.
Afterwards, I also had to click on "Messenger" to get all my contacts.
This is temporary since before FF 150, Bitdefender ran with "Encrypted Web Scan", and I had no problem in loading Facebook. So something that changed in FF 150 conflicts with Bitdefender's "Encrypted Web Scan".

Hi. I run Pop_os 24.04 linux and have run the latest updated firefox for linux and the latest expressvpn for firefox and am not able to get firefox to connect with the vpn "on". It did work a week or so back but not now. With the vpn on, firefox takes at least 15 seconds to load. I've run the troubleshoot mode and it didn't help. Are there settings on firefox that could be the issue or is it a vpn problem? Thanks

Jetzt hatte ich die Meldung erhalten " der Treiber cpuz419_x64.sys konnte nicht installiert werden wegen möglicher Virus-Gefährdung", als Abhilfe wurde angeboten die Ker-Sicherung auszuschlaten. Das habe ich mir nicht getraut. Als weitere Info erschien eine Seite, auf der "Windows10" unterstrichen war. Könnte das alte Profil dem Rechner vorgaukeln, dass ich Windows 10 nutze?bold text

Firefox only works properly if my VPN location is in Canada, but I'm in the US. If I switch my VPN to a US location (where I live), Firefox often does not work properly. I get news, ads, etc., that assume I'm Canadian. And often a website will not open. I need my VPN location in the US to access any site I normally do.
