I’ve been noticing an issue with YTS-type sites on Firefox. The site either loads partially, the player doesn’t start, or it keeps buffering without playing anything.

What’s strange is that the exact same site works perfectly fine on Chrome and other Chromium-based browsers. Videos load instantly there, but on Firefox it either breaks or takes forever.

Things I’ve already tried: – Cleared cache and cookies – Disabled all extensions – Tried in private window – Checked network (no issues)

It feels like something related to Firefox compatibility with the video player or scripts used on these sites.

I also tested another version here which seems to work better on Firefox:

Not sure what’s different (maybe a different player or encoding), but it loads without issues for me.

Has anyone else faced this or knows what might be causing it?

When I inadvertently press CTRL + R when entering text, it is VERY frustrating because the window refreshed and I loose all of what I typed! Is there some way to disable the CTRL + R combo so the window does not refresh?

In Firefox version 149, there is an issue with print preview behavior for HTML <select> elements. When opening print preview, all <option> items inside a dropdown are displayed and included in the print output.

This behavior differs from Firefox 148, where only the selected option is rendered correctly during print preview.

Steps to reproduce:

- Create an HTML page with a <select> dropdown containing multiple <option> elements. - Select one of the options. - Open print preview (Ctrl + P).

Expected result: Only the selected option should be visible and printed.

Actual result: All options inside the <select> element are displayed and printed.

Impact: This issue breaks the layout of printed documents and makes forms difficult to read, especially when dropdowns contain many options.

Example email attached. Mozilla support emails say requests are coming from a windows 10 device but I am on 11. Is this a sign that something is wrong with my account or just a typo?

I was going through my account settings today and noticed that two factor was disabled. I thought this odd as I usually set it up on any account I use, so I of course turned it on and went about linking my authenticator app and generating account recovery codes. Yet in my authenticator app there was already a Mozilla account with my email, but the codes it supplied did not work. I also found old account recovery codes I had written down which did not work either.

What could have happened to cause this? I must have had two factor on sometime in the past and added it to my app and generated recovery codes. How could it have been disabled, the old codes made invalid, and Microsoft authenticator unlinked? Am I looking at an account breach somehow? I have no unusual activity as far as I can tell and no recent data or password breaches. The only thing I can think of was I removed a number of old devices from my account and signed out of them, but I still own the old PC's so no one could be using them.

Microsoft and Google are part of Anthropic's Project Glasswing but Mozilla is not. I am concerned about Firefox security if Mozilla in not being included. What is your plan to participate? Do I need to switch browsers in the meantime? Please advise. Thanks.

Last week I discovered that my emails (yahoo) when clicked on opened a Preview screen next to the email lists. How can the previews be removed and my emails appear across my screen instead of being crammed into a left hand column?

Podobno ma się ona pokazywać automatycznie gdy Firefox wykryje stronę w języku innym niż ustawiony jako domyślny język interfejsu i komunikatów - nie pokazuje się automatycznie, lub Firefox nie wykrywa języka w jakim wyświetla się strona. Za to - w "hamburgerze" (przycisku Ustawień w górnym prawym rogu) pojawiła się opcja "Przetłumacz stronę" - 1 kliknięcie "hamburger", 2 kliknięcie "przetłumacz stronę", 3 kliknięcie - potwierdź polecenie przetłumaczenia strony .... bez sensu !!! Zamiast jednego kliknięcia w ikonkę na pasku adresu !

Żadne to ułatwienie, czy polepszenie komfortu użytkowania przeglądarki - powinno to być poprawione natychmiast i wrócić do poprzedniej formy ikonki wyświetlanej właśnie na pasku adresu !

I often hit ^T (control-T) in firefox without meaning to, because I use that chord in other applications a lot. In firefox it opens a new tab, which is almost never what I want. I'd like to suppress that keyboard shortcut. I tried doing it using vimium (unmap <c-t>) but that has no effect.

I have CentOS Stream release 8 on my laptop and desktop, with firefox-115.11.0-1.el8.x86_64

If I connect to some sites, such as signin.costco.com, www.tesla.com/modely, www.airindia.com, www.meijer.com, I get errors such as You don't have permission to access "http://www.tesla.com/modely" on this server. The error appears invariant of my IP address (different IPv4 addresses after rebooting my router, or an IPv6 address via a proxy). I have Firefox 60.7.2esr and 78.5.0esr on an older machine. Those sometimes work to some of these sites, but don't support all the site functionality, e.g. I can't actually login to Costco. www.tesla.com/modely works in 78.5.0esr. The Firefox on my Android tablet works for tesla; I haven't checked all the other sites. In conversation with my ISP (Starlink) customer service AI, I have tried deleting cookies and disabling plugins (only H264 and Widevine) with no effect. It suggests there is a problem with Akamai fingerprinting the browser.

I get edgesuite errors using Lynx or elinkx or curl also

I have Firefox set to always ask about how I want to open/save PDF files. Within the past couple weeks, I've encountered an issue with opening PDF files. When I click on a PDF and select "open with Firefox," the PDF opens in a new tab on Firefox, but it also opens in Acrobat. When I select this option, I just want the PDF to open in my browser, and I cannot find a way to stop it from simultaneously opening in Acrobat.

When I went to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/vpn/ and decided to purchase a Mozilla VPN prepaid annual subscription part of the reason was this "feature"

There is nothing easy when clicking on the download for the Mozilla VPN extension yields a message that the add-on or extension has been blocked. The explanatory link provided is https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-ons-cause-issues-are-on-blocklist. That lets you know that:

"When add-ons violate Mozilla’s policies, compromise user safety or privacy, or fail to meet user expectations, Mozilla takes action. This may include disabling add-ons in Firefox to maintain a secure and reliable user experience. "

So, when will Mozilla stop violating Mozilla's policies so that the Mozilla VPN add-on is fit for use on Firefox v 149.0 [without free VPN] running on WIN10 64?
