In new version i can switch between search engines, but it makes me to many clicks. In old version, i just clicked icons in bottom and it become search in this engine. How to bak to the old version?

how to see how many time and when I visited a website in firefox. like I visited "https://www.themoviedb.org/person/500-tom-cruise" 10 times. now it only show latest time not the first or secnd or third in firefox. how to see?

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

Jetzt hatte ich die Meldung erhalten " der Treiber cpuz419_x64.sys konnte nicht installiert werden wegen möglicher Virus-Gefährdung", als Abhilfe wurde angeboten die Ker-Sicherung auszuschlaten. Das habe ich mir nicht getraut. Als weitere Info erschien eine Seite, auf der "Windows10" unterstrichen war. Könnte das alte Profil dem Rechner vorgaukeln, dass ich Windows 10 nutze?bold text

Sorry folks, this is really confusing for me and it kind of snuck up on me like fading breaks on a car.

"This" computer is my main one and I use it the most.

I load youtube and get the usual list of suggestions. If I moved my mouse over any, they would start to play and I would "preview" them on that screen. I could select if I wanted the audio and subtitles.

All was good.

Fire fox has updated and the O/S has also over time and "recently" the "preview" stopped. (Oh well. Such is life.) I didn't think much of it.

Then the other day I was on ANOTHER machine (different O/S, similar/same plugins) and loaded youtube just for the sake of it and as I moved the mouse over the clips: I got the "preview".

I've shared the data from this machine. Kind of difficult to do it in/on THIS post from the OTHER machine also.

For clarity: It used to work. I didn't change any settings in any of the plugins/addons or FF settings. They were "working" as I wanted and so there was no reason to change them. I am guessing this is a "easy thing to fix" but the specifics of what I need to do is beyond me at this point.

I'd appreciate some guidance in how t find the difference between the two machine's settings so I can get the preview to work again.

Just to put it out there too: I have a "squillion" tabs open. They all seem to work and unless I really get carried away with things, Firefox 95% of the time behaves itself. Now and then it "locks up" and stops responding. The best solution is a total reboot and restart.

I have a GPO policy that sets Homepage for startup to open specific URL, and now it just stopped working after last update to version 149, instead i get standard FF startpage.

- tried updating .admx templates to the newest version

- about:policies shows correctly that GPO is enforced

Everything checks out but somehow it is not working anymore. Someone with similar problem?

Since the most recent update installed on Firefox, my homepage no longer loads on opening the browser. Instead, a blank page loads, and I have to hit the home button in order to get to my home page. I've checked and none of my settings have changed, so don't see what else it can be other than some kind of bug?

Hi I just found VPN button in my browser turned it on and it works perfectly. i was very suprised because i am from russia and this vpn somehow can avoid DPI (deep packet inspection) that every isp has here in russia. My theory it is that mozilla vpn works because of IPv6, for now DPI can check and block only IPv4 connection. suggestion - please add cryptocurrency as an additional payment method because we dont have visa or mastercard here since 2022. thank you

Hello! Firefox doesn't load the designated starting page I listed. It starts on the general overview. I have this issue since the last update. Refreshing or deinstalling didn't fix the issue. The desired page is also listed as start page under about:config as starting page Thank you in advance for your help
