I need to UNINSTALL the new AOL version - which has totally messed everything up, it won't even open my email - and INSTALL Mozilla's latest most powerful version.

The version I was using (no idea which but relatively new) started hanging constantly ("Script may have stopped running on this page - continue?") then crashed, so thought I"d try this. BIG MISTAKE.

I'm job hunting and need SPEED and NO PROBLEMS. HELP, MOZILLA EXPERTS! I"m Techno-Idiot and require step by step instructions;would LOVE someone who's willing to work with me by phone me for ten minutes MAX to guide me if possible - I'm much clearer verbally!!

Thanks!

Uninstall your current version of Firefox: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=windows-7

Make sure to check the "Remove my Firefox personal data and customisations" checkbox

Then install Firefox again using the version downloaded here: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/#

I got an email via aol on my PHONE from you "MastertheMachines) that I don't know how to reply to using aol...and I can't seem to figure out where to click HERE to find it either....

You asked what Windows Version I was using: I'm using Windows 7, 64-bit (whatever that means....MS keeps sending me both 32 and 64 bit updates and the 32's keep failing but I don't know how to get rid of THEM either) - just in case this means anything to you

I warned you - Techno-Idiot here....trying to learn though!

Newest 29. version doesn't work for me. I need to learn how to uninstall it and re-install 28.0 on Windows Vista but can't yet find out how to do that. Thanks

Same as before, uninstall your current version of Firefox: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=windows-7

Make sure to check the "Remove my Firefox personal data and customisations" checkbox

Then download Firefox 28 from here: Install an older version of Firefox

Please note that if you choose the "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" that the current profile folder (with all of your current settings, extensions, passwords, etc) will be removed and you will have to start all over.

alsmusic If you plan to keep your existing settings and data, please do NOT click the checkbox to remove personal data as you will lose everything!
