Image preview does not appear anymore

For a while now every time I click on an image in the Google image result page it doesn't open the image previewer anymore, but instead takes me directly to the website where the image is from and there I have to actually search for said image. Sometimes that image is not even visible or available anymore on the website, despite the fact that it showed up during my Google image search.

How do I get the previewer to work again?

Hi KarrieDreammind,

I just tried this with the requested desktop site on an android device, and with a mobile version of Google Image Search. Both give a view of the image with a black background.

Please clear the private data stored and reload the page. Clear your browsing history and other personal data on Firefox for Android

Is it possible your Google image results page switched to "basic" view? There is a link at the bottom of the page (try the End key or Ctrl+End to get there quickly) to switch between basic and standard image results pages.
