I used Easy Transfer to export and import my Mozilla Thunderbird and now all my sent messgaes are gone prior to the date of the transfer

I had to upgrade from XP to windows 7 and they recommended that I used Easy Transfer to export and import my data back after the windows upgrade. Everything appeared fine till I went to reference my old sent messages and now they are all gone prior to the date of the export. Can anyone help? I Have located on the external drive the export file which appears to be a .pcv file but don't know what to do with it. Any help or suggestions?

  • Make a copy of the .pcv file.
  • then in the copy, rename the file...change the .pcv to .zip
  • then extract all files - unzip

This will allow you to see the contents.

If you locate the file and need to import it back into Thunderbird, you could use this add-on tool:
