How do I set email alerts on my Windows PC

I read in a newsletter that it's possible to get notifications when an email arrives in Firefox for Windows PC, however, I didn't find the option that allows me to enable that function. Can you help please?

There are some add-ons that monitor your mail accounts to notify you of new mail. I haven't tried any of them for years, so I can't make any personal recommendations.

Is there a particular mail site you're interested in monitoring? (For example, Yahoo mail, Hotmail/Live/Outlook, Gmail, etc.)

Note: Since you need to give the add-on your mail account login in order for it to check, please investigate carefully before installing to make sure it is trustworthy.
